We welcome well behaved dogs but no 'dangerous breeds please!'Camping with your dog has to be one of the very best experiences to share with your four-legged friend. All we ask is that, for the safety and comfort of all the other guests, you keep your dog on a lead or tethered at all times whilst in the campsite. This a very imporatant rule and if it is not adhered to, you will be asked to leave the site. It goes without saying that your dog also needs to be healthy (vaccinated), socialised (good with other people and other pooches) and very obedient, and must be cleaned up after. We love having dogs at the campsite. We make no separate charge for them, (except a nominal cleaning charge for dogs in wigwams), but we really insist that they be on leads at all times when on the campsite!
Off the lead walksFor walking fans who are dog owners, finding good walking routes can sometimes be a bit tricky, especially if you want to let your dogs run free off the lead.
We have a couple of good walks starting right from the campsite. (see the map below). There are long stretches on this walk where you can let your dog off-lead, but there may very well be cattle in places along the route so you will need to put your dog back on a lead at these points.
We have found a good website you might want to visit which describes more good dog walks nearby in Northumberland.
The website address is www.dogwalks.co.uk, and it focuses on North East walks. You'll find plenty of good walks which you and your dog are sure to enjoy.
