Finding good Northumberland dog walks can sometimes be tricky, particularly during the Spring when there are lambs in the fields, especially if you want to let your dog run free off the lead. Whilst we ask that dogs are always kept on a short lead whilst on the campsite itself, we have a secure dog exercise field and a scenic dog walk in the area to the South of the access road. There are wonderful views down the valley, specutacular sunsets and we have placed a couple of benches up there for those that want to spend a short while enjoying the peace. If your pooch is shy around other dogs you can book the enclosed dog exercise field for your exclusive use. And if they get muddy on one of our recommended Northumberland dog walks don't worry, the site has a free hot water dog wash to ensure your pooch is clean when you return to your pitch or dog friendly glamping pod. We have dog friendly accommodation in both our Wigwam cabins and Castle Pods.

We have a couple of good dog walks in Northumberland starting right from the campsite (see the map below). There are long stretches on this walk where you can let your dog off the lead, but there may be sheep and cattle in places along the route so you will need to put your dog back on a lead at these points.
If you fancy venturing a little further afield, you can enjoy a day at the Northumberland coast with your four-legged companion, this takes just 90 minutes to reach by car. One of the most popular dog walks in Northumberland is the Craster to Low Newton Coastal Walk via Embleton Bay.
