Our newest award-winning campsite is Longnor Wood Holiday Hideaway, located in the beautiful scenery of Buxton, Bakewell and the beautiful Peak District and close to the small village of Longnor which has a shop, café and pub serving food. Longnor Wood is easily accessible from cities such as Sheffield, Manchester, Derby, Birmingham and Nottingham and is an ideal destination weekend break. Longnor Wood is an adults only touring caravan site, an AA 5-star campsite and a member of tranquil parks and is perfect for a romantic break.
The spacious and green site is situated mid-way between Buxton and Bakewell in a scenic location. There are a range of local villages within driving distance with real ale pubs serving great food. There are beautiful walks direct from the site making Longnor Wood perfect for enjoying with your dog. Many of the region’s cycle paths are also located within a short drive from the site.
Longnor Wood offers dog friendly lodges, with a choice of modern, deluxe one and two-bedroom hot tub holiday lodges with a range of amenities. Some lodges have wood-burning stoves and there are tumble driers and washing machines in each. Luxury extras such as a welcome pack and a Nespresso pod coffee machine complete your stay. This scenic touring site has large hard-standing touring pitches with grey waste and electric hook-up. Longnor Wood is a dog-friendly campsite and for guests travelling with their four-legged friend there is a scenic dog walk area with spectacular views and a dog wash. There is also space for tents. Longnor Wood is open between 1st March and 10th January and so makes an ideal Winter campsite.
Completing the range of glamping accommodation are two luxury glamping pods with toilet and shower and 6 great value modern one-bedroom caravans with hot tub. Longnor has dog-friendly glamping. including caravans with hot tubs.
On-site is a small shop, dog wash and laundry. Longnor Wood is an adults only campsite and a member of Tranquil Parks. The Peak District dark skies are perfect for stargazing. Chatsworth House and Chatsworth Estate are a short drive and with discounted tickets on offer at Reception.
