Events in Northumberland
On this page we include details of any events that are taking place either within the Northumberland National Park, wider Northumberland rural or coastal areas, in our market towns of Haltwhistle, Hexham or Corbridge, further afield in the cities of Carlisle or Newcastle or at our own Herding Hill Farm campsite on Hadrian’s Wall. We will let you know of any historic events at the local Roman forts or Hadrian’s Wall landmarks, this may include Roman re-enactments or cultural talks. This will enable you to get the most out of your Northumberland camping trip.
Northumberland has some of the
darkest skies in the UK and is a designated International Dark Sky Park so we
will also keep you updated on local stargazing events from the Kielder Observatory, Battlesteads Observatory and Twice Brewed Observatory.
The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre is just five minutes’ drive from Herding Hill Farm and
features a number of ever-changing events and exhibition.
At our Northumberland campsite we
celebrate occasions such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Halloween and
Christmas/New Year with events like children’s craft mornings and special guest
surprises.
If you are looking for some

We would encourage you to follow our Facebook page for notification of any local events either within the
