Located in a spacious area on our Northumberland campsite, our Wigwam Cabins are a comfortable and luxurious change to camping. Made from sustainable wood, these environmentally friendly camping pods are a brilliant cost-effective alternative to family-friendly camping without losing any of the thrills. 

Perfect for camping all year round, especially camping in winter, our Wigwam Cabins are warm, comfortable and cosy, perfect for families, friends and couples.  These camping pods are dog friendly too.

If you book a stay in one of our Wigwam cabin camping pods in Northumberland, here’s what you will receive:

• Well insulated and heated camping pod with electric and a lockable door.
• Semi self-catering with small fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave supplied – Our Running Water Wigwam Cabins also have a kitchen sink and ensuite WC.
• Open plan seating areas convert to platform beds with comfortable, thick foam mattresses – you will need to bring your own bedding, or we offer single and double bedding for hire 
• Our camping pods are dog friendly, allowing up to two well-behaved dogs for an additional cleaning charge - dog walk, enclosed exercise field and hot water dog wash available
• Outdoor seating area with picnic bench adjacent to your camping pod 
• Camping Pods with hot tubs available to book
• Luxury amenities building with heated indoor campers kitchen, family bathrooms with baths and sauna available for hire
• Free Wi-Fi 
• Parking for one vehicle at the side of your Wigwam cabin - EV charging station

Dog Friendly Camping

All our Wigwam Cabins are dog friendly with an additional cleaning charge. We recommend bringing a long lead for your dog as there is a tie on the camping pods to allow them to safely roam the area. 

Our Northumberland Campsite features a popular dog walk and exercise area that our guests love as well as a hot water dog wash, perfect for those long muddy walks! Additionally, our licensed shop offers many essentials, so don’t worry if you forget to pack something. However, we do have a dog camping checklist in case you are unsure on what to bring.

Stargazing Pods

Each of our camping pods in Northumberland are in centre of our Northumberland campsite right under the wide, dark sky. Our Wigwam Cabins are ideal stargazing pods, offering a prime spot for star spotting under one of the darkest skies in the country.

If you choose to book one of our camping pods with hot tubs, the private outdoor hot tub provides wonderful views, situated directly beneath these dark skies, making our cosy camping pods perfect for both winter camping and stargazing during the dark sky months from October through March.

Camping Pods with Hot Tubs

We also offer camping pods with hot tubs. We have hot tub pod options in both our Big Chief and Running Water Wigwam Cabins but please make sure you select the hot tub option when booking as not all these Wigwam Cabins have hot tubs. These camping pods feature a private electric hot tub for 6 and are both child and dog friendly, making them a great glamping option for families and pet owners. If you’re travelling without children and prefer a tranquil retreat, consider the private hot tubs in our adults-only Castle Pods. If you book one of our camping pods with hot tub as well as your swimming costume you might find it helpful to bring a pair of fit flops and a robe to facilitate the walk from the camping pod into the hot tub.

Family Camping Holidays

For a memorable family camping holiday, look no further! Our camping pods offer comfort and enjoyment for all ages. Centrally located within our campsite, a spacious grassy area sits at the heart of the Wigwam cabins, providing a perfect playground for children. Additionally, our site features friendly farm animals, ball field and a fun-filled park, ensuring that there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy. We have a spacious indoor campers’ kitchen if the weather is poor with table and chairs to play games or read. There is also an indoor BBQ hut for exclusive hire which seats up to 20.  With pizzas delivered to your camping pod Friday evenings in season, to toasting marshmallows on one of our fire pits available to hire, there is sure to be an outdoor activity to tempt your child whilst on a family camping holiday with us.

Our 10 Running Water Wigwam Cabins sleep up to a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 3 children on thick foam mattresses and include en-suite toilet, wash basin and sink; 7 of these cabins have outdoor hot tubs. The Big Chief Wigwam Cabins sleep up to a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children on thick foam mattresses and are located close to our Amenities Building; 1 of our Big Chief cabins has a Hot Tub. Our smaller Wee Brave Wigwam Cabins sleep up to 2 adults and 2 small children. There is no WC in out Wee Brave or Big Chief Wigwam cabins.
